Here at Fara, we’ve long been fans of SRAM and we’ve seen their popularity rise sharply during the recent years thanks to practical innovations like wireless shifting and unlimited cross-compatibility between MTB and Road components.. The latest “E1” version of their top-flight RED groupset might be the best performing groupset on the market and now they are following up this success by transferring all of the ergonomics and features to their more affordable Rival and Force level groupsets.

New news and good old news

The release of the E1 groupsets on Rival and Force levels follows suit on the upgrades we saw on last year’s RED components: a focus on ergonomics, braking and shifting speed. The improvements were significant, even on a product that was already excellent. As usual, SRAM also pushes the weight savings to the limit and in tune with market sensitivity, prices have not increased on the new offerings.

Highlights

• One finger braking: 80% more breaking power comopared to previous versions
• Ergonomically optimised hoods - just fits better in more hand shapes
• Faster shifting thanks to new cassette profiles
• Improved front chainring shifting
• Lighter weights on both Rival and Force components

In addition, SRAM continues to lead the way when it comes to wireless integrations throughout their component ecosystems including drivetrain, powermeters and head-units all connected through the SRAM AXS app. The new Force levers feature programmable “bonus buttons” on the hoods, allowing you to shift gears or control your head unit via buttons at the top of the hoods. As with all AXS components, SRAM continues with its universal, easy to change and charge AXS Batteries.
