Bike FAQs

F/Road
What is the F/Road?
All-round race bike with aero-optimized tube shapes, precise handling and extremely light weight. Race performance designed to go the distance thanks to increased vertical compliance. The frame design is a result of in-house product development in collaboration with industry leading frame designers.
What are the highlights of the F/Road model?
• NACA Airfoil tube shapes with truncated tails for optimal weight / aero balance and increased torsional stiffness. • Wide-stance Aero-optimized fork legs decrease airflow pressure around the wheel for drag-reduction. • Full internal cable routing (Token A-Box) • “IBS Light” (Integrated Bikepacking System) hidden 64mm attachment under top-tube with dedicated Aero-Box storage. • All-Round capabilities with 32mm tire clearance. • Hidden aero seat-post wedge • Reversible aero seatpost, offering 0 and 25mm set-back in one post. • Intuitive Fit Road geometry - 5 sizes to fit nearly every rider. • T47 Bottom Bracket eliminates irritating creaking noises. • Subtly Curved Sea-Stays for increased comfort. • Cable routing for mechanical and electronic shifting • UCI Approved
Is it possible to use F/Road for UCI sanctioned racing?
Absolutely! The F/Road frameset is UCI approved.
Can I order a frameset only?
"Frameset only" bundle can be purchased here: < a href="https://faracycling.shop/fara-shop-cat-view.php?cat=framesets-road">CLICK HERE
What is the maximum clearance of tires I can use with the F/Road?
Rough roads? Dirt Roads? No sweat! We increased tire clearance to a whopping 32mm (measured) giving space for ever-increasing modern rim and tire shapes, allowing you to ride comfortably on more types of surfaces.
What is the geometry of the F/Road frameset?
As with all our models, we offer full geometry chart for each of our models. For F/Road geometry chart, please head over HERE and click on size guide (depending on the size of your screen, you might need to use the scroll function)
I am quite picky with my riding position...
You are in control of your bike! Gone are the days when one had to choose proprietary seatpost, if offset was an issue. As our understanding of bio-dynamics advances, rider positioning is also improving and challenging old-school thinking on bike-fitting. On the F-RD, you no longer need to choose between 0 and 25mm setback setposts thanks to a unique, reversible design allowing a plethora of positions in one single seatpost.
What is IBS Light?
We’ve adapted our ground-breaking IBS in a practical, lightweight version on the F/Road. Hidden 64mm mounting inserts under the top-tube can be fitted with a dedicated Aero-Box utilizing Fidlock™ attachments allowing the Aero Box to be attached and removed in seconds. With space for a small camera, rain jacket, ride food, spares and tools, the Aero-Box is the ideal companion for long rides.
What type of Bottom Bracket and Axles does the F/Road model utilize?
We’ve incorporated all the latest bells and whistles into the F/Road, to make sure your bike will be modern for many years to come! The T47 (85,5mm) threaded Bottom Bracket eliminates irritating creaking noises while still allowing the stiffness and efficiency of the 30mm crank spindle. Flat-Mount disc brakes are the new standard, offering compact design which can be tucked away neatly in the frame’s design. Hyperlight 12mm through-axles offer incredible stiffness at a mere 53g of weight. Adding the through-axle to the design dramatically increases front and rear end rigidity, making the bike more responsive to the rider’s input, more precise and more predictable. You will be carving lines on harrowing descents and beak-neck crit races alike. Front hub spacing: D12mm x L100mm and P1.5 thread pitch Rear hub spacing: D12mm x L142mm and P1.5 thread pitch
F/All-Road
What does All Road mean? Learn more about clearance.
The new F/AR or F/ All-Road works ideally with 32-35 mm, 700c tires for fast rolling on tarmac or well-kept dirt roads. For more grip and protection, you can also mount 35mm low-knob treads like the Panaracer GravelKing Semi-Slick or even a whopping 38 mm slick; this configuration will allow you to ride rocky trails with more comfort and stability.
What about studded tire compatibility for winter riding?
F/All-Road is also great for commuting on icy roads with up to 33mm studded tires like the Suomi Routa when using fenders and 35 without fenders.
Can I use a 650b x 50mm tire?
No, the F/All-Road is not compatible with tires wider than 38mm. The F/Gravel is compatible with tires up to 47mm.

I am not clear on how much it costs.

Can I order the bags alone?
Yes! The new FARA x Roswheel bags will be available for purchase separately from the F/AR.
Will the Fara Cycling bags fit on any type of bike without Fidlock mounts?
Yes! The bags sets include adapters which will allow you to mount our bags on any frame, given they physically fit into the frame. This option will be available on the website shortly.
When do I choose my frame colour and size?
When you go through to our bike builder, you will finalize the colour, sizing and full component specification.

F/Gravel-R
What wheel option do I get for F/Gravel-R from Fara Cycling Bike builder?
Our F/Gravel model is the only model in our selection that can be ridden both with 650b and 700c wheel size options. Both of them are specifically selected to suit riding conditions one might encounter on unpaved roads and paths. 650b is more suitable for rougher (loose) gravel as it offers more volume and better traction at lower pressures, while 700c excels at faster paced rides on mixed roads with hard packed dust and smaller gravel when the terrain is more varied

Delivery and Shipping
Which countries do you ship to?
We ship worldwide.
I live in one of the European Union’s states - would you be able to ship the bike here?
We can ship to all EU countries, cost is €190* for a partially assembled complete bike with bags and fenders. VAT included. This is the final price you will pay to have the bike delivered to your door, including VAT in EEA (European Economic Area). We will update you on your estimated shipping date based on your spot in the queue. To received the last update about the production and delivery status sign up our newsletter. *subject to change due to currency exchange rate
I live outside norway. If I ever have an issue with the bike, how does your customer service work? Would I have to ship it to you in Oslo?
Any minor service or maintenance would have to be handled by your local bike shop. This is considered normal maintenance and not included in the price of your bike. They can also process warranty claims on third party components like Shimano and Fulcrum. Should you encounter a failure of a bigger component like frame or fork, and it is deemed to be a valid warranty claim, we would ship you the new component and reimburse you for the costs of repairing the bike at your bike shop of choice. This, fortunately, is extremely rare and one of the reasons why we only sell great bikes.
How can I track my order?
We are working on customer portal to allow our customers to have a total overview of their orders, but in the meantime, please contact us at fara@faracycling.com
What are the shipping options to the USA?
When shipping to the USA or Canada, prices do not include taxes.Packages are handled by DHL and shipping charges are currently $250 for complete bikes and $150 for Framesets.
How long does it take for me to get the bike?
Due to the current logistical challenges the bike industry is facing, longer lead times than we would like are a reality. We build bikes in the order that we receive your order and we often have many bikes in the queue. Once we have your frame and all components for your build, we will provide you with a build slot by email. When purchasing a bike, our online Bike Builder will give you an approximate date of delivery when you select your frame size.
I live in Switzerland, UK or an other country part of the EEA - European Economic Area - Will I need to pay taxes?
No, bikes shipped to EU, Switzerland, UK and other country of the EEA are delivered "Duties and Taxes Paid" (DDP).
