Mother North - ultra race in Norway - 11th of August 202
Fara Cycling was born through two passions, our native Norway and our love of adventure cycling. So it makes sense that for its 2024 edition, Fara Cycling will be the official bike partner of Mother North, Norway’s finest bikepacking adventure race. We’re incredibly proud to be supporting an event that will bring some of the world’s most adventurous cyclists to the gravel riding playground that we call home.
Starting on the 11th of August in the picturesque town of Lillehammer, an easy train ride from our HQ in Oslo, the route takes in 950 km of the most breathtaking landscapes Norway has to offer over a daunting 16,000 metres of elevation. Taking in coastal roads, fjords and mountain passes, Mother North is set to be a challenging yet rewarding ride of a lifetime for those that roll up on the start line.

Of course we want to encourage you to come and experience a taste of the incredible riding our homeland has to offer, so we’ve cooked up a few things to make the trip a little easier for you.

For those that don’t want to travel with your bike or perhaps don’t own a bike that’s suitable for the demands of the race we will have a fleet of Fara bikes available to rent for the event at a special price. Experience the beauty of Norway atop a bike designed specifically for the demands of Norwegian terrain, consider it the ultimate test ride.

We’ll also be hosting the official pre-race social ride in the days before the event where you can meet your fellow competitors and get your first taste of what the race will have to offer. Join us at the Fara Cycling house in central Oslo where you are welcome to store your bike box before making the onward journey to Lillehammer for the start of the race.

Come and join us for what may just be the world’s most beautiful bikepacking adventure.
